The data mounting thing seems a benign error but I am not sure what might cause the ACPI BIOS Error
but I suspect that this is due to the nvidia update.

Edited: I realized that I should not run the command on live ISO, e.g. the linux kernel version printed will be of the live ISO rather than the actual system I have before the update failed. I use timeshift to revert back to the system before update failed and rerun the below commands.
