Can I use Manjaro distribution on this laptop with these specifications?

Hi
Can I use the Manjaro distribution on these poor specifications?
Specifications are as follows:
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B815 @ 1.60GHz 1.60 GHz
RAM: 2.00 GB
My use is average and I am a beginner in the Linux system

I think this is an Aussie distro we haven’t heard of yet

But if you are actually referring to Manjaro distribution (as in Kili-Manjaro - famous mountain in Africa) - as it is a dual-core cpu - it should be possible - but based on a search for the specific cpu and your specific mention of 2GB ram - I would recommend something like LXDE or LXQt as suitable for this particular system.

Using KDE or Gnome - maybe even Xfce - may make you a sucker for a new computer.

It maybe would have different name… :australia:

For the CPU it’s this…

And maybe a little ram upgrade wouldn’t hurt.

Xfce will claim about 900 MB RAM so that might still work for you, but i agree that a lightweight desktop environment might be best.

If Mostafa hadn’t described himself as a linux beginner, i would almost have recommended the i3 community edition.

@mostafa the best i can suggest to you is download a couple if iso and try as a live system, but stay away from the very polished Desktopenvironments, such as kde or gnome, as they will eat up your meager RAM.

It’s Manjaro translated to Aussie-speak.
