You know, like changing /etc/pacman.conf
or something.
Pacman does not handle AUR, that is why you need an AUR helper like yay … or use Pamac.

Can we make changes to pacman to let it support AUR?
Is an Arch software manager, done by Arch and only for Arch repositories. The change for it to use Manjaro repositories is minimal because is not breaking the functionality of it, nor the logic inside. Then, that is why Pamac was created, to handle AUR, flatpak, snap in the same time, if users want that …
