Amule 2.3.3 has some bugs that makes using it in a pain in the *ss. One makes that shortly after starting to download, the speed drops to the minimum. Speed limits doesn’t work fine, etc. Last week was released v3.0.0, I’ve been testing it and works a thousand times better. It’s in Arch Repository and anyone who uses it will appreciate the update.
Version 3.0.0-1 is already in the Unstable branch, so it’s only a matter of time before it hits Testing, and @philm promised us another Stable Update around the end of the month, which is only two weeks away anymore.

I just downloaded the aMule-3.0.0-Linux-x64.AppImage from Download | aMule and it opened without any issues on my Testing branch system, so Manjaro users do have that option available if they can’t wait until the repo version reaches their branch.

so I would expect new version to be released to testing branch very soon
If you prefer to remain on stable branch you can use the Appimage version as already suggested

or the Flatpack version

Of course, an alternative resolution is to switch to the Unstable branch.

Actually, I’ve had aMule 3.0.0 up and running for days now, by downloading the package directly and installing it with pacman -U (Who said fear?).
[2026-06-09T16:50:06+0100] [ALPM] upgraded amule (1:2.3.3-12 -> 1:3.0.0-1)
I mentioned that because version 2.3.3 is known for its bugs, and I’m sure everyone who uses aMule will appreciate the update to 3.0.0. Anyway, if it’s in the testing version, I imagine we’ll see it in the stable version in a few days.
