I have a Nikon Z50 and Entangle used to be able to detect the camera. After not using it for a long time, I tried using it again and now it just can’t see my camera. gphoto also can’t detect my camera.

Hello,

Please check Forum Rules - Manjaro to avoid cross-posting aka duplicate posts.

Since is about a laptop, check tlp power settings for the USB port where you connect the camera. You can make use of tlpui and disable power saving completely, and try again to reconnect your camera.

Thanks! I tried disabling USB Autosuspend, I tried turning TLP off. Still can’t see the camera. Other devices work with all the USB ports. Turning the camera off charges it through USB.

From what i read about that camera, doesn’t have to have the WiFi enabled in order to connect even via USB with the PC?

to be sure the USB cable isn’t faulty or something like that:

run:
journalctl -f

in a terminal

and then plug in and disconnect the device

to see what the system is seeing happening …
