Built-in microphone not working on acer swift 5

Hello, since I installed Manjaro on my laptop, I cannot use my built-in microphone. When I do alsamixer, go on capture and select my soundcard it says:

This sound device does not have any capture controls.

In order to get the audio working I needed to add

options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0

to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf if that is useful

The modprobe option options snd-hda-intel dmic_detect=0 does not work on kernels later than v5.8
there is a replacement option snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=1
but those options are intended to disable the internal digital microphone array (dmic)
they are a workaround to continue using the system if the dmic is not supported

I suggest you delete the modprobe option file

sudo rm /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

and check that package sof-firmware is installed (required for dmic support)

then reboot the system

and check if the audio controls are now loaded correctly, including the internal microphones
