Buildiso and virtualbox

Hi,

Tested the buildiso that linux-aarhus suggested.
Could make a stable iso so far so good.

I noticed that after making a clone the manjaro entry to start from disappeared so the vm starts again from iso. After an efibootmgr -v and doing a
grub-install --recheck with grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/cfg the manjaro entry re-appeared.

Nevertheless remaking a clone that entry disappeared. Is this a virtualbox bug ?

Anyone experienced the same or am i missing something ?

I am guessing that you created a bios/mbr virtual machine (the default for virtual box).

Before making a clone, eject the ISO from the virtual machine to avoid booting from the ISO.

uefi is marked when creating a vm. I guess that is the option you meant ?
I will try the suggestion ejecting the cdrom

yes, be sure to remove the ISO otherwise - depending on boot order - it will boot the installer again.

I am going to test a cli install just with base base-devel and some tooling.
Will let know if it works … so far thanks

this was the trick so thanks for coaching
