networkmanager 1.42.4-1 is now on Testing and Unstable.
Can anyone on those branches report if issue is fixed?

A quick last(?) update on this topic: Just installed the latest stable update from March 31st, fix has landed there as well and everything looks good. I think this can be marked as resolved and closed.
