What theme are you using? Have you tried a different theme?

Also kernel 6.9 is EOL. You might want to consider kernel 6.10 or 6.6 LTS or 6.1 LTS

Global theme is Breeze Twilight (Will remove EOL kernel later)

Hi @Sarah

It’s possible this will help:

sudo pacman -S pamac-gtk3

This installs the Gtk3 version of Pamac which is generally more suitable. It will ask to replace the existing version. Just press y confirm.

I hope this helps. Cheers.

As you are on Plasma, you might want to try replacing pamac-gtk with pamac-gtk3. pamac-gtk, which you appear to currently be using, is very much tied to GNOME & Adwaita.

pamac-gtk3 works well with KDE, as it uses the KDE icons, colors and GTK settings (System Settings => Colors & Themes => Application Style => Configure GNOME/GTK Application Style)

Edit: I see that @soundofthunder has made the same suggestion while I was typing my reply

My system has pamac-gtk installed.

I’m not sure if I should replace one with the other. I rebuit pamac-gtk and will see how it performs with a reboot later

Not sure if a restart is required for this to work, but I closed pamac (after instaling pamac-gtk3 and reopened it and some of the same links are still broken (the theming did change):

I’ll restart when I get back home.

Then, yes, it should be replaced with the other. This is exactly what was meant by:

However, this concerns me:

Neither pamac-gtk or pamac-gtk3 need to be rebuilt as both are available (and should be installed from) the official Manjaro repositories.

Aside:- It may be that you have built (and rebuilt) pamac-gtk from the AUR, which is officially unsupported by Manjaro (or Arch). Alternately, it’s possible you simply used the wrong terminology when using the word rebuilt. :man_shrugging:

Otherwise, the instructions I (and @scotty65 ) gave were clear:

And, yes, a restart might help.

Cheers.

Then the compatible pamac-gtk3 appears to have remedied the issue. From the screenshot you provided, all seems as it should be.

These apparent broken links are another issue. I’d recommend opening a new thread about that.

Glad to help. Cheers.
