The brightness keys didn’t work for me on my Lenovo IdeaPad S145 15IWL (81MV), (Manjaro with KDE).
I’ve been googling for hours playing with some kernel options (as acpi_backlight=…; acpi_osi=…), and as a result found theme “Bug 214899 - ideapad-laptop: brightness hotkeys not working” on bugzilla with last post from 2023-01-24:
Fixes for this have been merged into the 6.2 series, closing.

I deleted those kernel parameters, then installed experimental kernel 6.2.0 - wow, it works!
So simply wait for kernel 6.2
