Brave Browser does not work anymore after Update to Kernel 6.17.11-1 a few days ago

Sorry - typo.
I didn’t want you to list your $HOME
You may delete it.

ls -l / was what I intended. Just as an exercise.

I think I know where this comes from - the “new and improved” editor function here.

Please switch to the standard editor.
The leftmost symbol up here.
one click only
You’ll get two windows as a bonus - in the left you write, in the right you see a preview of the results.
If you do this, the pasted terminal output will look as intended.
Try it and see the difference.

Aaaah! Yes! I´ve tried it with the standard Editor. With that one we get the result you wanted from me! But OK.

For now I thank you all for your support!!

Now I will just wait until the next version of Brave is part of the official repositories and then I´ll try that new version.

One option that I do not see. Is to install the new LTS Kerenel 6.18.x.

Does booting to that kernel fix the issue?

All you need to do is the following:

  1. On a blank line, type 3 backticks (```). For a standard keyboard, the key is usually to the left of 1, on the same key as the tilde ~ symbol.

  2. Move down to the next blank line and paste your terminal output. It is very important that the backticks are on lines by themselves. They must not be on the same line as the terminal output.

  3. On the blank line after the terminal output, type another 3 backticks

Yes, I see.

I have manually edited the content in your first attempt, so at least now it displays as it should.

Are you pasting the content into another text editor before pasting it to the forum? If so, that may be contributing to the problem.

Whatever the problem is, it’s preventing you from posting requested information in a way that’s useful to those reading, and it’s also detracting from your main Support issue itself.

I suggest using a public “pastebin” type of service, instead.

There are many to choose from; Have a look here:

Here’s one that doesn’t require an account:

These sites might work differently, so make sure to follow their directions. Normally a link to the online content is all you would need to paste in the forum.

I hope this is helpful.

Regards.
