Not sure if there’s a problem or if I’m just going insane or something. I had the Manjaro installer do full disk encryption when I first installed. It seems to not accept my password very often though. Almost never the first time and usually I have to type it in 4-5 times before I can boot. Which is annoying as each failure to grub rescue, reboot and new password attempt is about 30-45 seconds. I have my actual user login happen automatically so when I enter the encryption unlock password it’ll just boot to my desktop. The user password is the same as the boot unlock password and I almost always put that in correctly when I’m unlocking from sleep or whatnot. Even typing it in quite quickly is almost always fine.
Since the boot unlock screen shows nothing when I’m typing the password in, I can’t be 100% sure that I’m typing it in correctly each time but I’m sure I almost always am. I sometimes type it in very slowly out of frustration and sometimes that doesn’t even work. My keyboard doesn’t seem to be faulty either from just general use.
Is there some trick to putting in an unlock password that I don’t know? Are you supposed to type it in slowly? Are you supposed to wait 5 seconds after typing in before hitting Enter? I feel like I must be doing something wrong
