Booting problem after first shutdown of new installation (dual boot)

Hello community,
Although I have been using Manjaro for several years now I would still consider myself as beginner since computers themself are not really my passion. That’s also why I use Manjaro - usually there’s no problem  and I also found help in reading in the forum.
Now I had to set up a new Laptop (HP 15s-fq0625ng). As before, I need dual boot, Manjaro and windows.

For setup I followed this guide from the forum: [[root tip] [How To] Dual boot Manjaro and Windows

No problem occurred during the installation. I used a USB stick (several types tried). Installation and initial start of the installed system (on the laptops hard drive) via GRUB works well. I can search for updates with the software GUI and everything else also works as expected. But when I shutdown the system via the shutdown button it will not start again. GRUB works and I can boot into windows but not into Manjaro. When Manjaro is chosen in GRUB the HP logo is shown and also the Manjaro logo, but it is not going further than showing the three dots below the HP logo.
I also tried other guides such as this from youtube: kskroyal… (sorry, cannot post links)
Also I tries to install Manjaro system into the same partition as the home drive. But the problem is always the same.
I don’t understand why the system works, but only once. I searched the forum and the internet but did not find that this problem occurred before.
In the installed system I did several commands to get the system information which might be relevant. Please see the outputs below.

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

For security reasons, the password you type will not be visible.

What can I do? Any help is welcome!

Did you disable Secure Boot? – Secure Boot is not (officially) supported by Manjaro. Check with your computer manufacturer or user guide to find out how Secure Boot should be disabled.

Did you disable ‘Fast Startup’ in Windows? – As Admin;

powercfg /h off

Cheers.

The problem could be:

Intel Optane Memory for SSD Caching

When this is enabled in your BIOS, Windows will boot, but Linux will not. Linux doesn’t have a driver for this. You can boot Linux from your boot menu and choose your Linux disk as your boot disk, but that is not dualboot.

“Be aware: Since there is no support for RST’s caching with Optane memory in Linux, you can’t dual boot Windows with RST caching configured, and Linux. Either turn of Optane in Windows or put Windows into a VM in the Linux OS. To make things not complicated, the following won’t consider dual boot.”

Ik hope this will help you further

Thanks for helping!

UEFI boot page shows that secure boot is disabled.
Actually the header of the menue says BIOS Setup Utility and not UEFI but Windows says that UEFI is used , so I followed the guide for UEFI application.

I did not disable this right from the start since in the guide the paragraph started with

so I thought this is just an option that I don’t need since I don’t plan to read/write in the Windows partition.
Anyway I now set in CMD as administrator

powercfg /h off

This made the existing installation boot once, but not a second time.
I re-installed (with formatting hard dives) Manjaro but the problem is still the same. The initial start is ok, second start fails.

What can I do?

Hello,

I cannot find such an entry in the UEFI. Actually the header of the menue says BIOS Setup Utility and not UEFI but Windows says that UEFI is used , so I followed the guide for UEFI application.

Thanks!

I have now installed gnome (slim iso) instead of xfce (silm or full iso) and now it works.
