My wild guess is that something may be wrong with one of the grub packages in testing and unstable (grub, install-grub, update-grub), because everything else is related to the system, while I couldn’t start to boot — as I said, there was nothing to boot into 
The Lenovo logo stayed there forever without any activity when I was in testing/unstable branch.
Sorry that I can’t do more tests for a while, coding under Manjaro for LXQt…
