Hi,
I get the error file '/@/boot/vmlinux-6.16-x86_64' not found
I was after the machine hang during an update.
Read similar topics here and they suggest to finish the update and then run update-grub. I manage to start from a snapshot, finish the update and run update-grub, but when I reboot I see the same error.
Running mhwd-kernel -li I have 6.16, 6.15 and 6.12. I tried deleting and installing 5.15 but I get the same error when booting from it via the grub menu.
Anything else I can do?
Thanks, Miki

Anything else I can do?
Since no easy solution can be expected,
sudo inxi --color --filter --verbosity=8
or
sudo inxi -czv8
One likely reason is that you have a kernel module which is failing to build in 6.15 and 6.16. Post output of sudo mkinitcpio -P.

Thanks for that. I ran sudo mkinitcpio -P and saw an error with crc32c-intel.
Searching the forums, I’ve changed it to crc32c in /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and ran the command again. It finished with no errors.
Sadly, after reboot I still have the same issue, anything else I need to run?
Your efi-Partition is nearly empty ! (Where is your grub?)
sudo du -h /boot/efi
Please list /boot with your kernels
ls -lA /boot
Each kernel should have a size of 10…20M

Currently running: 6.16.4-2-MANJARO (linux616)
The following kernels are installed in your system:
* linux612
* linux615
* linux616
Thanks!
The kernels (sizes) seem fine.
So the problem must lay with grub not finding them there.
sudo md5sum /boot/vm*
my md5`s are:

Thanks, you meant grep -E subvos=/@? (leading /)
The UUID’s match.
But… I’m running from a snapshot, does it matter?
This is important information.
Please perform all of the above tests within the snapshot referenced by the grub.cfg file.
It’s not enough for the kernels to be present in the “current” snapshot. They must also be present in the snapshot you’re trying to boot

This is the snapshot I’m trying to boot from. I’m dropping off for the day, will continue tomorrow. Thanks for all the help.
Would it not be safer and more productive to boot with a liveiso and manjaro-chroot into the system and then do the repairs. Doing them inside a snapshot means that one day when Timeshift deletes that snapshot you won’t be able to boot and will have to do the above anyway. At least that is what happened to me. grub bootable snapshots are great for testing, but I will no longer do any major maintenance from within one after getting dumped into an emergency grub shell.

Indeed that is what nobody explains. After booting the snapshot, it has to be restored as the main os. There is a tutorial somewhere in the forum.
One of the many reasons i do not use btrfs. Seems feature packed but that comes with a complexity and requires a lot of knowledge and terminal to maintain.

Sadly I someone wrecked my snapshots as well. Re-installed my computer (with Manjaro of course
