Bonus post-Install terminal key binding

I’m using a IBM Model-M keyboard with Manjaro i3. It does not have a super/windows key. Following installation of Manjaro-i3, I need to plug in another keyboard to get to a terminal in order to change the key binding for $mod.

Would it be possible to add a non-$mod keybinding for the terminal?

Cheers.

I thought the whole point of tiling VM’s was that almost all keybindings use $mod.

You can switch to a tty and edit ~/.config/i3/config and set e.g. Alt as your $mod key, or whatever you like for the keybindings.

@summrum Good idea. I should have thought of that…oops.
