:+1: Welcome to Manjaro! :+1:

Please read this:

and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…

An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)

:+1:

here is the output of the command inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width :

  1. In the future, when providing code/output, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text so that the output looks like this:

    instead of like this:

(as that makes both our lives much easier)

  2. No need to do anything right now as I’m an editor here on this site and have fixed it for you already. However, in the future I might not see your post so review my edits by pushing the orange pencil above the post I just fixed.

  3. Everything looks normal, so I’ve edited your title and added the #bluetooth and #kde tags to attract smarter people than me!

:sob:

Thanks a lot for your help and guidance…

… why would it?
as I understood it
you are sending the same file (by name)
but actually a different file (by content)

the difference should be detected and
one should only overwrite the other after confirmation

If it is the same file name and the same content …
why should the “old” be overwritten with the “new”
(it’s the same … it’s already there …)

… this might be my problem understanding yours …

What happens when it:

fails to receive the file

?

Hello my friend
Actually it is the same spreadsheet with different content every time . this problem exists about 10 days. before it was asking me to overwrite or to rename with a suggestion. Now it fails to receive…
Thanks for your time

now now I can begin to understand your issue

… it fails to receive?
or it fails to ask to overwrite ?
the same file, same name, different content
?

From the sender the transfer is ok .but my laptop fails to receive when in the destination folder is a file with the same name. If I delete the file from my folder I receive the file normal…

… it fails to receive (unlikely)
or
it fails to overwrite
the same file name with different content
(that is what I understood)
but you say:
it fails to receive …

How do you know the difference?

Hello Nachlese
Ive made a test :I have a photo in the destination folder with name “a.jpg” and i send from my mobile a different photo but with the same name “a.jpg” and it fails to receive (i will upload a screenshot of the fail message) .But when i delete or move the photo from the destination folder and send it again it will receive the photo normally without any problem.
10 days ago was the last transfer that i made and i had the same situation but it prompted me to take an action (as always it do) “overwrite or rename or suggest a name or cancel” . Now it doesn’t prompt me to take an action.
bluetooth
Thanks a lot
and have a nice day…

Hello my friend
i’ve been thinking could it be maybe i say a permission error?
So that it cant modify the file in the destination folder (with the same name)?
thanks for your time…
