Bluetooth adapter not found!

My apologies: could an Administrator delete this post, please.

I have just found out that the WiFi dongle I am using, a TP-Link TL-WN725N, does not provide Bluetooth. So, all that follows, in the original post, is not relevant.

I have a desktop system with a WiFi dongle that used to provide Bluetooth connectivity without intervention in the past. Details as below:

inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width or inxi -azyv7 gives

After a recent upgrade though, I have got the warning

No Bluetooth adapters found for Bluetooth in System Settings.

Here are some additional messages to help others to help me:

I need to manually load btusb with:

sudo modprobe btusb

Then,

lsmod | grep btusb gives:

btusb 69632 0
btrtl 28672 1 btusb
btbcm 16384 1 btusb
btintel 32768 1 btusb
bluetooth 729088 11 btrtl,btintel,btbcm,bnep,btusb

I have enabled and started bluetooth.service:

sudo systemctl start bluetooth.service
sudo systemctl enable bluetooth.service

The packages bluez, bluez-utils, and blueman are installed.

Invoking blueman-manager on the command line gives these warnings:

blueman-manager 01.29.56 ERROR Manager:137 on_dbus_name_appeared: Default adapter not found, trying first available.
blueman-manager 01.29.56 ERROR Manager:141 on_dbus_name_appeared: No adapter(s) found, exiting

The file /etc/bluetooth/main.conf has the line AutoEnable=true.

hwinfo --bluetooth gives a null output, as does rfkill list.

Interestingly, KDE Connect used to work and still works.

How would I get the adapter(s) to be picked up and for Bluetooth to work?

In case this post helps someone else, I will state what I found out:

  1. I found out after posting that my desktop does not have builtin Bluetooth connectivity.
  2. The USB WiFi dongle I had was a TP-Link TL-WN725N which provides WiFi connectivity but no Bluetooth.
  3. Accordingly the No Bluetooth adapters found message was absolutely correct.

Solution: If I need Bluetooth, I need to get hardware that provides it.
