I’m using an asus zenbook from 2 years ago. It ran Ubuntu fine, but when I try to boot from USB installation I get the grub options and select “open source drivers” then I just get a blank screen. “proprietary drivers” does the same thing.
This usb worked on 2 other computers so I don’t think its corrupt.
