You need to provide more info. Based on the tags you seem to run Plasma. Is it still Plasma 5 from stable branch or already Plasma 6. The later has some issues with Black Screens. Also is our system running in a virtual machine or is it a real hardware installation.

it is a real hardware installation
I’m in testing branch with plasma 6

I’m taking a guess that the culprit is the Plymouth package; it often causes boot issues much as you describe.

Completely removing Plymouth might solve your issue; it’s generally considered to be unwelcome bloat and many people (myself included) tend to remove it whether (or not) it’s causing any issues; because, sooner or later, it will.

Plymouth isn’t a typical package to uninstall. Because it’s closely tied in with boot processes, there is a special procedure to follow to remove it completely, and safely:

See the Plymouth page in the Manjaro Wiki for the correct instructions to uninstall it.

I hope this helps. Cheers.

i have followed all that instructions and deleted it.
i will tell you if the problem occurs

" it’s generally considered to be unwelcome bloat "
so why manjaro team keep it?

Many packages can potentially come under the heading of bloat; yet, many people still want to have their pretty desktop things and often complain bitterly when they are taken away.

Plymouth is a virtual crap shoot as to whether it might cause boot issues, or not; it can depend on many variables and differences between computers. Laptops seem most affected, in my experience.

Enough people still use Plymouth without any issue to not warrant it being removed across the board; in my opinion; however, if it was indeed removed from the repos, you would certainly not catch me complaining.

So, there is no blame to be automatically assigned to the Manjaro team, or anyone else, simply because you’re among those inconvenienced by it. If it doesn’t cause any issues, keep it, and if it does, then dump it; or if you’re not sure either way, dump it.

Cheers.
