Black screen at boot

Updated, and now manjaro boots to a black screen. It starts, then after a few seconds the screen gets brighter, but it stays black and nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Original author on old forum @AlManja If you are stuck and you can’t log into your system, use one of these steps below. They are sorted from easiest at the top.
