Black screen after fresh install - Mate not start

I have a issue maybe same like this:

Desktop environment does not start on load. I have to run startx

I am very new to Manjaro and new to linux on the whole. I have recently installed Manjaro through the Architect installer and selected i3 for my desktop environment. I installed Manjaro as a minimum install so I am running bare-bones. The installation went fine with no errors. I rebooted and am just left with a flashing cursor icon and nothing else. I can get to the desktop by pressing ctrl+alt+f2 to spawn a login prompt and then enter “startx”. I have rebooted a number of times and it is always…

Installation USB stick dont have any issue Mate stated correct.

After instsll on my Nvme
I got only black screen with blinking command line.
I need to press ctrl+alt+f2 after login need to enter “startx”

After this fix:

by adding “amdgpu radeon” to the modules section of /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and regenerating the image.

It works

Maybe some dev can look into this issue?
before Mate i had installed Xfce i dont have any issue there.

I Use HP laptop
AMD ryzen 5 5500U

Only with this fix with mate desktop

by adding “amdgpu radeon” to the modules section of /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and regenerating the image.

On Xfce desktop i don’t need this fix.
