Black screen after boot, tty2 works (login screen broken?)

I recently played around with some display settings on my optimus G14 Asus notebook (asusd, asusctl, supergfxctl), but I also updated Manjaro (testing branch), so I can’t really nail down which change it actually was.

Since I did this, after Grub booting the screen is black. When I switch to TTY, login with my normal user account and then issue a startplasma-wayland, I’m in my graphical session where I actually want to be.
So it seems there is a problem showing the login screen (misconfiguration, drivers?).
Any idea how to solve this issue?

EDIT: Switching back to kernel 5.18 doesn’t help:

you are using wayland with nvidia on kde… do you have also the same issue with x11?

From all I know the Login Screen doesn’t fall in the Wayland or X11 category. It’s that screen itself where you can choose either Wayland or X11 for the session after login to start, so it’s apparently something before these two servers get started.
