[Beginner] Did switching to testing branch work for me?

Hey there guys,

Just installed Manjaro with Plasma as DE fresh, did sudo pacman -Syu right after successful installing it and then wanted to switch to the testing branch like I always do on Manjaro.

Now I’m a bit confused about my /etc/pacman.conf file. It does not show any testing repositories in there and as far as I know (with my limited knowledge), the testing repositories should show up there am I right? I can’t remember if there were any updates available right after changing branches, so I can’t tell certainly.

pacman-mirrors -G

is printing testing, so it seems that it has worked, but I’m not a 100% sure, as I think there weren’t any updates and also the repositories in the pacman.conf file are missing (? Or aren’t they? Is that how it should be?)

Sorry for always asking such lame questions in here :see_no_evil:

To visualize what I mean I might as well just post my /etc/pacman.conf right here: ## /etc/pacman.conf## See the pacman.conf(5) manpage for option and reposi - Pastebin.com

When switching branches, there are no changes to /etc/pacman.conf. Instead, the changes are to your mirrors in /etc/pacman-mirrors.conf.

I see  Thank you for the quick response, lovely Manjaro Team member
