Battery doesn't get found on surface pro 7?

Hello, after testing with my system for errors with

sudo systemctl --failed (no error)

and

sudo journalctl -p 3 -xb

I got this error:

Mai 20 19:35:17 surface kernel: ov5693 i2c-INT33BE:00:
Failed to get clk from pmc_plt_clk_0: -2
Mai 20 19:35:17 surface kernel: ov5693 i2c-INT33BE:00: Couldn't set power mode for v1p2
Mai 20 19:35:17 surface kernel: ov5693 i2c-INT33BE:00: Couldn't set power mode for v1p2
Mai 20 19:35:17 surface kernel: ov5693 i2c-INT33BE:00: sensor power-up failed
(and much much more...)

now, I ran

sudo inxi --admin --verbosity=8 --filter --no-host --width

and it does not find my battery. How can I fix this?

Btw, my battery is build-in.

Thank you!

Hello,

Have a look here GitHub - linux-surface/linux-surface: Linux Kernel for Surface Devices
There is more information for each particular device, but requires surface kernel …

Thanks, but what are these out-of-tree modules (dkms) and does it only work on arch itself or on manjaro too?

They need the linux-headers for the running kernel, hence they work on Manjaro too, if are installed. Available via AUR in most cases.
