Hi, recently the avahi-daemon has started misbehaving. It is now publishing the ip address associated to the vboxnet0 interface even if this interface is explicitly listed in the deny-interfaces entry in the config file. Obviously this makes the hosts on the local net unreachable. Any clue?
Trying to diagnose the issue, a candidate offender is kdeconnect that has now started to respond to 5353 in parallel with avahi-daemon. Now trying to disable this behavior.
… and indeed the issue is with kdeconnect. There is an aur package without the mdns responder to use.
