Auto or Intelligent HideTaskbar is Bouncing Since Cinnamon 5.4

When the taskbar is set to auto-hide or intelligent hide mode and the taskbar is hidden, it is difficult to make it re-appear. Depending on where the mouse pointer approaches the hidden taskbar it bounces instead of appearing normally. I made a video (https sub-out.nsupdate.info/manjaro/TaskbarBounce-490kB.mkv).

Any ideas?

It’s something to do with the System Tray - if you remove it, the odd behaviour stops. I can only hope someone is working on a solution.
