Auto insert matching brackets/braces - KDE Kate 21.12.3

I’m used to auto insert of matching braces/brackets in all of the IDE’s and/or text editors that I’ve used before and really hoping that there is an option in Kate to do the same.

A search through preferences, plug-ins, various forums and another generic one did not yield results or I missed it.

Expected behavior:

When a left brace is typed, a matching brace is inserted.

Kate: Version 21.12.3

Open Kate settings (default shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+,) and go and check Editing → General → Brackets.

Thank you. I kept searching in auto completion and plug-ins and totally missed General
