Audio cuts off at a seemingly random time and I start to hear crackling and popping sounds

Hello, a couple of weeks ago I tried playing Lego Lord of the Rings with protontricks and after about 7 minutes of playing the system audio cut off, and having to reboot to get it working again. Now every time I start up my computer, after a seemingly random amount of time the audio and microphone cut out and a popping crackling static is the only thing I can hear.

It still persists even after I had uninstalled the game and reinstalled PulseAudio and ALSA several times. When I checked the sound output I still saw that there was still audio going through but I just can’t hear it. Also the static gets louder and quieter based on things I do; for example, I was playing a game with a top-down board and the static changed volume whenever I panned my view of the board.

Here is my ALSA information

If Nickgnomic is reading this, sorry for not responding on my previous topic since I realized I wasn't being specific enough and I realized the problem was bigger than I thought.
  1. In the future, when providing code/output, please copy-paste that output in-between 3 backticks ``` at the beginning and end of the code/text so that the output looks like this:

    instead of like this:

(as that makes both our lives much easier)

  2. No need to do anything right now as I’m an editor here on this site and have fixed it for you already. However, in the future I might not see your post so review my edits by pushing the orange pencil above the post I just fixed.

  3. Have you tried another kernel yet? (E.G. 5.4 LTS (=Long Term Support))

  4. Please disconnect any external devices (Microphone, speaker, …) and try again. Does it work now?

:+1:
