Asus F551M Touchpad issues

#1

So I went with the i3 version of manjaro and am liking it accept that my touchpad doesn’t work. I installed libinput and ran

libinput list-devices

Which the archwiki said should load the default settings after a reboot but no change… when I look at that list I can’t even identify the touchpad. I Can post it if necessary but even if I leave off things like the power button its very long.

Thoughts? questions? light it on fire and watch it burn?

If a touchpad device is not detected and shown as a device at all, a possible solution might be using one or more of these kernel parameters.
