fcitx is deprecated. fcitx5 is recommended.
Development of fcitx has stopped, and development has shifted to fcitx5.
Therefore, I think fcitx5 should be recommended for manjaro-application-utility.

Since I use fcitx5, I think this is a better confirmation of the current situation. My guess is that there are no users of fcitx (no number) in my language. It’s ambiguous.

/etc/profile.d/input-support.sh
/etc/xdg/fcitx5/profile

A bit out of the norm, but my typical example (better setting for ja_JP)

with aur/fcitx5-mozc-ut.

Currently it looks like this.

53 aur/fcitx5-mozc-ut 2.30.5618.102-1 (+34 1.99) (Installed)

I installed extra/manjaro-asian-input-support-fcitx very recently. I hadn’t noticed it for over three or five years (and it was working fine). It’s just an environment variable setting, so it’s not really necessary. maybe.
