Why would “sudo pacman -Syu” initiate a kernel downgrade?

Good question,

I’m not a power user, curious to know the dev && power user point of view.

By default the official kernel (repo) is the 6.4.3 for the Odroid c2.

Odroid c2, default kernel 6.4.3-1

Branch compare for Manjaro

On the other devices, Odroid n2, c4 && m1 same observation, the devices update offer me to downgrade with the (repo) official kernel.

Until now it works fine with those devices
