Hello,
I use some LV2 plugins and I only get the generic interface. This happens with the Calf suite, but also with other plugins. This issue occurs on other machines as well, so maybe Ardour needs to be rebuilt?
Thanks in advance for your help.

If your plugins is from AUR - it is more likely your plugins that needs rebuilding…
They’re from the official repositories. None of them are from the AUR.
calf in Manjaro extra repository is inherited from Arch and no longer supports GTK2
and does not include the Calf Rack GUI calfjackhost
Why has GUI been disabled? (#3) · Issues · Arch Linux / Packaging / Packages / calf · GitLab
Terry Bull:
Why did you remove the GUI with 1a0eafbe that is a fundamental part of Calf? The GTK2 GUI plugins still run properly with its own external host wrapper (“calfjackhost”) that is missing now as well. If possible, i would like to have it back.Hanabishi Recca:
The commit message states why: GTK2 is going to be dropped from the repositories. See this mailing list thread for details. So it’s either building without GTK2 or dropping thecalfpackage completely.Terry Bull:
I see.. its not just a package-based dependency removal. The whole GTK2 package will be dropped. I will manage it myself then once its in AUR.
Thanks!
For GTK2 GUI support I suggest build AUR package calf-gui
ardour in Manjaro extra respository is also inherited from Arch and no longer supports GTK2 GUI plugins
Ardour is not loading calf studio gear - Linux - Ardour
CALF plugins use the GTK2 GUI toolkit. It is no longer possible to use them with Ardour. There are lots of other reasons to not use them.

Manjaro also supports installing LV2 plugins from extra respository using the lv2-plugins group
OK, thanks for your replies.
So they’re kinda deprecated at this point, so I tried other plugins.
maybe so for some, but not I.
I am not bothered if it does not have a nice looking GUI anymore
and some Calf plugins do not have a viable alternative
