Android Studio - Cannot press certain menu buttons

I don’t really have any other way of explaining this but it doesn’t seem possible to press certain buttons inside Android Studio’s settings menu. For example the cog next to selecting keymap is not functional. Therefore I am unable to create my own keymap and therefore unable to use it at the moment.

I can provide further details if necessary I just wasn’t sure where to start with this.

Android Studio works fine - however - there is functions which don’t work because the install folder is read-only - when you install using AUR (makepkg or pamac install).

The viable option is to download the archived install - and unpack it in your home folder - then run the launcher from the unpacked/bin folder.

All Jetbrains applications (based on Idea framework) works best with the mentioned approach.

Good idea but it hasn’t worked unfortunately.

I’ve downloaded the the tar.gz directly from the download site and extracted. I get the same thing unfortunately. I even ran this as root.

I’ve installed intelliJ through Add/Remove software (is this visual pacman?) … That works fine.

If you run gui as root - you will get root owned files in your home - and this will cause headaches at a later point.

You could call it that - it is exclusively developed for Manjaro so it is not pacman - and for Arch it can only be build from AUR. The app uses libalpm which it the library Arch has developed for pacman.

Where do we go from here though? I can’t even see what the errors are so I’m at a bit of a loss as to what the issue is.

If I can’t change the keyboard the program is unusable to me unfortunately.

As I say it works fine for regular intelliJ.

Ok, I’ve gotten a bit further. I’m using i3 and if I switch to floating window mode I get the option.

Seems like the contextual menus don’t place nicely with i3.
