AMD VEGA 8 Drivers

Hi there.

I’m a new user of linux and I am wondering if I have to install the drivers of the iGPU because some games run with a lot of drops and the AATU app detects my GPU as HD5600 while mine is Vega 8.

Thanks in advance.

The driver “amdgpu” is part of the kernel and all other packages like mesa 3D lib, vulkan, etc. should come pre-installed with the distro, so: No there is not really anything additional to install I think.

No clue what AATU is. (AATU Dog Food – AATU Pet Food) Dog food or what  :joy:
Please post output of inxi -Fazy (make sure you use the “preformatted text option” while posting, to format it properly…)

Also, AATU is a program that allows me to increase the TDP of my CPU so I can have better performance in games.

Looks fine to me.

AMD APU Tuning Utility

It appears there are only Windows binaries available. How are you running it?
