Alt+Tab keeps stopping then arrow up and down keys also

I just installed…

Manjaro 21.1.6 Pahvo
x86_64 Linux 5.13.19-2-MANJARO
KDE 5.87.0 / Plasma 5.22.5
KWin
Breeze [GTK2/3]

Alt+Tab keeps randomly stopping working. I have to change to another open application window and then press and hold down Alt+Tab keys and then after a few seconds it will start working again. When it stops working I am then also unable to use the arrow up and down keys which I notice in the Terminal trying to recall previous commands.

I did that TTY2 test from the log-in screen and I don’t think I have a keyboard hardware problem… but is there anything else I can try to debug this?

Did you update and reboot the system after installing?

Yes and it says my system is up to date.
I’m beginning to think it’s a hardware fault. Sometimes when i hit F12 on boot up to get in to the BIOS the up arrow key isn’t working. Just now I booted in to Manjaro but could not respond to you because the keyboard was not working at all… no keys working. I did a reboot and now they are working again.
