Alt+f1 wont work when trying to launch a menu

I woke up and when I tried hitting the meta key it wouldn’t launch nax dexie so I tried the default simple menu launcher and set the shortcut to alt+f1 but it still wouldn’t work when I hit the meta key, instead I quite literally had to use alt+f1 to open the menu. Any idea as to why this is?

try meta+f1 or this command if that doesn’t work

kwriteconfig5 --file ~/.config/kwinrc --group ModifierOnlyShortcuts --key Meta "org.kde.plasmashell,/PlasmaShell,org.kde.PlasmaShell,activateLauncherMenu"
qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin reconfigure
