After updating I can’t login

This is not recommended; especially with a rolling release distribution such as Manjaro or Arch.

Because you have used timeshift there is no longer an issue to be diagnosed – this Support request is rather moot.

Once you have updated your machine to current, if the issue still exists, please create a new Support topic.
