After the latest update my game controller stopped working on Kernels 6.11 and 6.12

There is no reason not to continue using kernel 6.6 (LTS) for the time being; in fact, in situations like these, it’s typically recommended.

It can often take a while for a kernel to be considered widely stable for general use, and 6.12 is no exception.

On the positive side, it’s likely to become the next LTS kernel sometime soon, but I understand it’s not quite there yet.

Never consider yourself stuck on an LTS kernel.

One of the reasons they exist is to maximise compatibility over a wide range of hardware, and provide a workable core while others are constantly being tweaked.
