After Plasma 5 to 6 Upgrade - Wayland drm error

Hi,

after the upgrade to plasma 6 (new Manjaro Version) i could not use my video projector with Wayland anymore. It is connected on the USB-C-Port of my laptop with an usb-c to hdmi adapter.
I see this error in journald:

Mai 29 23:48:01 user-pc kwin_wayland[1484]: kwin_wayland_drm: Couldn't parse EDID for connector DrmConnector(id=339, gpu=KWin::DrmGpu(0x60f9b57cb5c0), name="DP-3-unbekannt", connection="Connected", countMode=37)

Mai 29 23:48:00 user-pc kernel: usb 3-4: new full-speed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd

It works fine if i use x11, so i think its a wayland+plasma6 thing. It worked before the last big Manjaroupgrade, where plasma 5 was used.

If this is helpful:

I would suggest trying the 6.6 LTS kernel and see if that fixes things.

Also, this post may be helpful. :slight_smile:

Cheers!

I saw this post and thought it would be a NVIDIA-issue. But changing to Kernel 6.6 solved it also on my end. I will try the recommended fix as well.
Tx :slight_smile:
