Have you tried the fix from the announcement thread?

Hi,
Yes I tried it already but it did not change a thing. I tried that three times also with sudo. Even if it is nonsense.

Have you tried the usual… different Kernel e.g 5.10 LTS and/or 5.4 LTS?

If you had switched to Pipewire by installing manjaro-pipewire to get the additional dependencies, package pipewire-pulse would require removal of conflicting packages pulseaudio and pulseaudio-bluetooth. But data in post #3 shows PulseAudio is still installed

Hi folks,

okay, here is what I have done:

I changed to pipewire - did not change a thing.

I installed the whole system freshly - did not change a thing

With new install I downgraded to kernel 5.10 - did not change a thing

The strange thing about it, all the settings are the same. I still see the sound levels in the setiings of Gnome. Alsamixer is everything like it is ever been. I plugged out and in in each of the input of the sound card. I changed headphones.

But it keeps to be quite. Not a crack at all.

I am really frustrated.

I tried one other thing. I plugged in a Jabra Headset with its own USB dongle. It instantly worked.

Could it be a hardware defect of the soundcard?

Me again, instead of using my soundblaster Z I activated the internal soundcard of my motherboard. And it also is working. Seems that it is a failure of my soundblaster Z.
