EDIT and ADD:
I am writing this document with the understanding that gnu nano is the default installation.
Frankly, I want to get more people into Manjaro. We especially want to make sure we’re not turning newcomers away at the door. I also feel like there are a lot of great tools out there to help with day-to-day operations. It’s a shame.
Adding packages installed by default
This might be something to review periodically. In fact, it’s written in the tutorial. It’s also written in the Wiki, so it can be solved. That’s right. Is that okay?
The person who maintains the package (I’ve never met them, so I don’t know what kind of person they are) is probably very busy on a daily basis and doesn’t have time to think about such trivial things. I know we don’t speak the same language.
Fortunately, this forum has many capable community leaders and moderators who are very active every day. I’m not saying that everyone is like this (I’m an honest person), but I think that regular exchange of opinions is the basis for creating a better future. It will change as trends change.
example that we may think about many users.
(I wish there were proper statistics.)
Adding a CUI editor might be a kinder response to potential future Manjaro users. I’m not writing this to get the consent of God.
I’ll give you just one example. I hope there are others.
- micro :: Almost anyone can use it. No learning required.
*I want to reduce the factors that hinder the broad social acceptance of Linux. In my opinion, the standards of god-like superusers (probably you) are not evaluated from this perspective.
Overall, I want to say::
Why don’t we all consider a minimal default installation list? We can’t add randomly. How about adding tools that have a small impact (small size, no side effects).
Of course, I assume that it will be included in all official ISOs released. If possible, it would be a great pleasure if the community edition was included as well. Or, another method would be fine.
Improvement of manjaro hello. I will present a separate manuscript on this. I’m writing it.
FAQ
I don’t want to hear the following story.
- It’s easy to install with one cli line, so the current situation is enough.
Answer:: You are half-god.
ENDING
Many people misunderstand, but I’m not in trouble. It’s not a support for my support. As most of you know, the Linux distribution industry is in an age of fierce competition. It is not always the case that a good one will be chosen. There are also three major archlinux-based distributions competing with each other.
If we continue to prioritize “correct technology,” we will be in a dire situation (that’s how I see the future). I, and everyone else, would like to think humbly about this.
Thank you for your cooperation.
