I recently switched to manjaro xfce from windows 10 after suggested by a friend, and I went to install pamac, but when I tried to do so it removed add and remove software entirely, I’m really not sure what’s going on, but sudo pacman -Syu or sudo pacman -S pamac both ended in a failure message, any help would be appreciated.
It’s already installed by default.
What’s the output of:
cat /var/log/pacman.log | grep pamac
Which was?

Pamac is already installed in every manjaro system. The ‘Add or remove software’ thing is pamac itself…it is just not named as ‘pamac’.

If you somehow just “lost” the menu entry for the program
you can start it from terminal as well:
pamac-manager
The content of those would probably help others to help you.
