Add a programm installed from .tar.xz file to applications?

Hey!
I have installed Tor browser. The one from the repos didnt work for me so I went to their website and downloaded a .tar.xz file, extracted that and now I can run that .desktop file perfectly.

But now I wonder if I can add this to my “normal” applications? Because most of my programms I start with krunner. And this .desktop file is obviously not listed as a program.

Why didn’t you recompress it with zstd and then install it with pacman? Then it would be installed system-wide.

Which? Did you try torbrowser-launcher?

I place my .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications/ and they appear in my application menu if that is what you want?
