You can turn it on yourself after installation, but it’s better to just have the option right away
Can you explain why you use zram instead zswap?
zswap is enabled by default and supports zstd, which compresses cache in RAM and a swap partition on disk.
zram compresses swap cache into physical RAM and does not require a SWAP partition on disk.
For that reason alone.

zram has some issues:
- Hibernation wouldn’t work for this.
- RAM size is much smaller than hard disk.

Most of us don’t care about hibernation and as ram being smaller that the OS partition so is a the swap file or swap partition.
