I am using Manjaro xfce
I am sorry I do know much about this and there is a problem I am facing which is kind of basic but I am not able to figure out the solution
whenever I press windows key
this appears
I have configured the windows key to pop up whisker menu in keyboard shortcuts
and there is no other shortcut in keyboard app which is causing this thing popup (I Guess)
Somehow I don’t think this is the idea. I think it should be set to Super_L because your suggestion will require him to press 2 keys to open the whisker menu, Super+L.
Edit:
Or perhaps even Meta_L. I don’t use Xfce so don’t know for sure.
By default this is set to Alt+F1 and it is supposed to work with the super key as well.
I don’t know how or why
but it kind of indeed does - but (for me) not consistently - it acts … strange.
There is another way to map the super key to Alt+F1
a few, actually
of these, I use ksuperkey - called from ~/.xprofile
like this: ksuperkey -e 'Super_L=Alt_L|F1' &
and set the shortcut for xfce4-popup-whiskermenu to Super L
(delete the present shortcut and create a new one - you’ll get prompted for the key press)
