A thought? USB live boots

Have you ever thought to sell USB drives with Manjaro live install on them? For those with no way to write a .iso?

that’s long ago when sticks were sold and i would never recommend such a stick to anybody. selling sticks with a installed software is a potential risk for manipulated iso’s.
would anyone use a stick lying on the floor / street and plug it to the own computer to see what’s on it ? if so … it’s a good way to check the company’s it-security you’re (still) working for… :grin:

I did some merchandise years ago - stickers and USB sticks formatted with ventoy and Manjaro ISO on them.

I don’t recall more than one that took the stick.

Huh? If one has a computer, one has a way to write an ISO to removable media.

:warning: There are third-parties that attempt to make money doing things like that. Never buy them. Always download from official sources or purchase from official vendors.

I’ve always been a “sneakers” kinda guy;
and besides, I’d be worried about tripping over the cable.

:knot: :laughing:

This is a matter of marketing and the target group. Here, for example, a perfect offer is provided for the normal unsuspecting user:

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, but someone who has no idea and is really lazy and naive would buy it.

They probably do make money. :wink:
He who does not ask himself how plugging in some USB device would make the computer “faster” - the faster, the bigger the storage on the device - is indeed the perfect customer and deserves being ripped off.

Still, people who do such things have earned all the bad karma that will sooner or probably later catch up with them.
