I am using GitHub - vinceliuice/grub2-themes: Modern Design theme for Grub2 themes for my grub these years. Maybe manjaro should update its default grub theme to a more modern and pretty one instead of a old-fashioned theme still using small bitmap fonts?
That is what I am using now except that I use white icons (do not like Manjaro Icon which is not a square lol)
argumentum ad novitatem is antique already …
We have this one
or this one
Whoever wants to create something else is invited to do it and showcase it.

I love the first background, where could I change?

I think the major enhancement would be the font, which a bigger sans-serif font will be OK? This bitmap font shows very small on my 2560x1600 screen.
It’s an older background ─ it was the default when I installed Manjaro in April 2019 ─ but it should still be available in one of the Manjaro wallpaper packages.
This one is in 1920x1080…
It looks fine on my 1920x1080 screen. Perhaps you can set a lower resolution in your /etc/default/grub
?
GRUB_GFXMODE=1920x1080x32
Be sure to run…
sudo update-grub
… after that.
One of those looks like the package, grub-theme-manjaro
Manjaro icon was fixed.
Thanks!
I use a modified version of this theme (removed the pip boy in the bottom right corner from the background).
