8bitdo ultimate controller not working (2.4ghz and bluetooth)

Hello everybody,

My 8bitdo ultimate controller does not connect to my system anymore. I used to connect it with Bluetooth (it never worked with the dongle). I tried different things like but nothing worked. I know that the system know that the controller is connected but cannot read inputs apparently (lsusb)

I also tried to install sudo dkms install -m xpad -v 0.4 , but it did not work.
I also tried pamac build xone-dkms but it doesn’t work.
I am not sure if I did something wrong with pamac build xone-dkms command tho.

so can someone give me advice for fixing it with the 2.4ghz dongle (or bluetooth, but prefer with dongle because my bluetooth is kinda bad)?

if i don’t respond i might be sleeping.

there is no bluetooth-adapter detected. what type of bluetooth adapter are you using ? is it plugged in ? any changes in the bios settings ? please check this first.
if this is set accordingly try to boot into a live-usb session. is bluetooth working in a live session ?
please report

oh yeah i unplugged the Bluetooth when doing the troubleshoot
here is lsusb with bluetooth in

sorry for late respons
also I think it works again with bluetooth, but is there a way for 2.4ghz dongle to work?
thanks for your time

okay, let’s try to boot the latest manjaro-iso as live system and check if bluetooth is workin from live-iso.
also, you’re using kernel 6.1. i had also trouble with it as a lot of others too. you can install a more newer kernel and check if this solves the problem.

Thanks Bluetooth works again (updated kernel).
I have another question does xone works with the dongle or does it need something else?

Which kernel does work

linux6.6.10-1 it now works with the dongle thanks to this thread on GitHub.
Hope this helps
