Windows’ Settings provides GUI for customising the touchpad gestures, so I could map 3-finger swipe left/right to mouse forward/backward without using any third-party app or struggling with hacks.
Is there a way to achieve the same thing with Gnome? I mean, currently, those gestures are mapped to workspace switching, but I can do that with 4-finger swipes, and frankly, I do a lot more going back/forward in web browsers/file managers than switching workspace.
I have searched the web and tried two extensions, but I could not achieve the result.
